Charlotte vs Bayley (NXT Women’s Championship Match)
Jojo is in for the formal introductions of Bayley & Charlotte. The crowd are chanting Bayley’s gonna hug you with Charlotte taunting the crowd. Charlotte with the hand out for a handshake, but there are no hugs tonight & Bayley is now pounding on Charlotte! Charlotte comes back with the chops, but Bayley hits a cross body. Bayley has the momentum early on. Charlotte really can’t catch a break. Charlotte gets the better of a back to back lockup and now has the advantage. Charlotte chokes Bayley out on the ropes & woos in the referee’s face.
Charlotte locks in the figure 4 headlock & rams Bayley’s face into the mat. Bayley is trying to wiggle out but manages to pin Charlottes shoulders to the mat. The lock is broke but Charlotte has the advantage. Charlotte stomps Bayley in the corner. Bayley comes back but Charlotte slaps her down. She has her shin on Bayley’s neck! Charlotte reapplied the figure 4 headlock and rolls Bayley’s back onto the mat several times. Bayley trying to fight out again and manages to pin Charlotte. Charlotte tries to hit the figure 4 but Bayley tries to pin. Charlotte is teasing Bayley and scoops her up. Bayley gets yet another pin. The NXT Universe is firmly behind Bayley but Charlotte is just playing with her. Bayley shows some fight but gets knocked back down.
Bayley Mode is activated and she hits a flurry of moves. Charlotte slams her head on the mat. Charlotte going for a moonsault but Bayley stops it and is now putting Charlotte on the top rope. Bayley hits a Frankensteiner on Charlotte!! Both girls are knocked out!! Charlotte barely gets out at two. Bayley goes for a Belly to Bayley but gets blocked. Bayley’s head just got knocked off the turnbuckle. Ouch! Charlotte is back up for the moonsault. Bayley kicked out and Charlotte is not happy. Natural Selection is hit and our girl retains.
Winner: Charlotte
Charlotte is celebrating but as she leaves, Sasha Banks comes out, and attacks Bayley. Charlotte looks unimpressed and goes in to defend Bayley! She drags Sasha off Bayley, and leaves the ring holding the championship high.
