Natalya did a promo saying she was dedicating the match against Charlotte to her uncle, Bret Hart. Charlotte came in with Ric Flair and told her she was beneath her and a warm up for her three way at WrestleMania. Nattie said make it a Title match. Charlotte said no. Nattie said my uncle was right, the Flairs are cowards. That is all it took.

Charlotte vs. Natalya for the Divas Title is up next.

Charlotte was in control early until Natty came back and put her in a surfboard. She went The Sharpshooter but Charlotte bailed to the floor. Then Charlotte then went to work on her again. She was doing a great job of playing nasty heel. Charlotte did a lot of cool heel stuff as she worked over Natty, who she called a has been.

After a few minutes, Natty made a small comeback but Charlotte quickly got the upper hand. Charlotte took Natty’s leg and whipped it into the post. She tried to do it again but Natty stopped her and rolled away. When Charlotte got in the ring, they faced off with punches. Natty laid her out and when for The Sharpshooter but Charlotte powered out and got a two count. Then she nailed Natty with a big boot. Natty sold it like she was dead but as Charlotte put on the Figure Four Natty powered up and eventually rolled Charlotte over, but Charlotte came back and slapped her in the face. Charlotte rolled to the apron and went out, torquing Natty. She came back in and got a two with Natural Selection but Natty kicked out. Charlotte tried two more covers but only got two counts.

Charlotte went up to the top for a moonsault but Natty grabbed her and got a two off of a Sitout Powerbomb. The fans chanted “This Is Awesome”. Yes it is. Vince, are you listening?

Natty went for the Sharpshooter but Charlotte got out. She tried again and locked it on. Charlotte was in the middle of the ring and she crawled over to the ropes and grabbed Ric’s hands. Natty got up and yelled, “Are you serious” and slugged Ric. Charlotte used the distraction to roll up Natty, and used the ropes to get the win and retain the Title.

NXT Women’s Championship Match
Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte

A slow-paced start as they really put over how both women know everything about each other, and how hard it is to gain any sort of advantage. Lots of pinning combinations. Sasha eventually gets ahead and connects with the double knees in the ropes for two. The slow breakdown of the challenger starts now with a few minutes of rest holds, leading up to the choke hold using her hair and hands. Banks puts her in headscissors choke and eventually Charlotte gets the crowd behind her and dead-lifts the champ into a powerbomb to break the hold. Huge lariat for two-and-a-half. She tries for a vertical suplex but Sasha turns it into a nice backslide pin for a nearfall, then transitions into a neckbreaker for two. We get a scramble for submission holds as they both go for their signatures and transition a half dozen times. Charlotte fully locks in the Figure Four and Banks rips out a huge chunk of her hair extensions! Sasha manages to get to the ropes and drop to the floor, but Charlotte holds onto the submission until the referee physically forces her to break it up. Banks with a roll-up for a very close nearfall. Bank Statement hits out of nowhere, Charlotte tries to roll it over into a pin, but is forced to tap out. Great match.

Winner: Sasha Banks (still champion)

An emotional Sasha and Charlotte hug it out after the match. This would be the kind of moment where you know it’s a send-off with Charlotte headed to the main roster and passing the torch, except that they both already debuted together.
