When SummerSlam descends on the Motor City, Asuka will attempt to retain her WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair in an incredible Triple Threat showdown!

In recent weeks on SmackDown, Asuka’s respective title defenses against Flair and Belair have ended in chaotic controversy. Against The Queen, Bianca hopped the barricade to engage the 14-time Women’s Champion. Against The EST of WWE, Flair attempted to stop Bayley and Ms. Money in the Bank IYO SKY from interfering in order to protect her own interest, but she accidently took out Belair to cause a disqualification.

With the situation quickly spinning out of control, the WWE Women’s Champion, The Queen and EST of WWE will battle it out in a total free-for-all The Biggest Event of the Summer.

Don’t miss all the action of SummerSlam, streaming live on Saturday, Aug. 5, at 8 ET/5 PT on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.

Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair Kicks Off SmackDown

We shoot to the ring where the ring announcer introduces Bianca Belair. “The EST of WWE” emerges and heads to the ring to kick off tonight’s show.

The fans chant “EST!” after her music dies down. She talks about how she has had to wait forever for something that was rightfully hers in the first place — an immediate rematch for the title when she first lost it.

She talks about how tonight she finally gets that opportunity and because of that, tonight is when she recaptures the title and no one can stop her.

On that note, the theme for Charlotte Flair hits and out comes “The Queen.” She says Belair has her fired up the way she is talking. She says no disrespect to Asuka, she thinks Belair is gonna win tonight in Flair Country.

Flair says so there is no confusion, when Belair does win the title back tonight, she is first in line for the next shot at the championship. She asks Belair what she thinks. The two seem to agree that they’ll fight at SummerSlam if things work out that way tonight.

Charlotte Flair Is …Not… Leaving

WWE Women’s Championship
Asuka (C) vs. Bianca Belair

It’s main event time!

Michael Cole and Wade Barrett run down the lineup for next week’s show on FS1, which features Roman Reigns and Jey Uso in the Rules of Engagement, as well as the aforementioned second U.S. Title Invitational bout.

Bianca Belair’s theme hits and out comes “The EST of WWE” for our final match of the evening, which features the WWE Women’s Championship on-the-line. As she settles into the ring, we head to a pre-match commercial break.

When we return from the break, the theme for the reigning and defending champion Asuka hits. Out comes “The Empress of Tomorrow” for our scheduled main event, with her WWE Women’s Championship on-the-line.

The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. Bayley and MS. Money In The Bank Iyo Sky are shown with tickets arriving in their seats in the front row for this one.

Belair takes it to Asuka with ten punches in the corner as the fans count along with each shot that lands. Belair whips Asuka into the corner again but gets drop toe-holded into it face-first. This allows the champ to take over on offense.

Now we see Belair knock Asuka down and out. Both ladies are down and recovering and as they do, Cole and Barrett point out that Charlotte Flair has also purchased a ticket and is taking her seat in the front row. On that note, we head to a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.

As we settle back in from the commercials, we see Asuka and Belair fighting back and forth, with no one clearly in control of the offense. Belair hits a nice moonsault for a close pin attempt. Cole points out Bayley, Iyo Sky and Charlotte Flair all hanging around in the front row.

Things continue until finally we see Bayley hop the rail to get involved. Charlotte Flair hops the rail and takes her out, but then Iyo Sky blasts Belair with the briefcase, so the ref calls for the bell. Bayley tells Iyo it’s time to cash in. Bayley grabs the briefcase as Iyo drags a lifeless Asuka into the ring.

Asuka springs to life and mists Bayley in the eyes and runs off with her title. That’s how this week’s show goes off the air. Thanks for joining us!

WWE Women’s World Championship
Asuka (C) vs. Charlotte Flair

Now we shoot back inside the O2 Arena where the familiar sounds of Charlotte Flair’s theme plays, as “The Queen” makes her way down to the ring for our next match of the evening.

As the 14-time women’s champion settles inside the squared circle, we head to a pre-match commercial break. When we return from the break, we see “The Queen” still in the ring awaiting the arrival of the title-holder.

The theme for Asuka plays and now “The Empress of Tomorrow” makes her way down to the ring with her Women’s World Championship. The champ settles in the ring for this scheduled one-on-one showdown for the title.

We see, as promised, Bianca Belair has taken the necessary moves to take matters into her own hands, as she told Adam Pearce she would, as “The EST of WWE” turns up in the front row after purchasing a ticket on her own.

After the formal pre-match ring introductions for this championship contest, the referee holds the title up high in the air to show these two ladies what they are fighting for. On that note, the bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one.

Immediately the crowd breaks out in loud “WOOO!” chants as Charlotte and Asuka begin to mix it up. Flair starts blasting Asuka with repeated chops and the “WOOO!” chants grow louder.

“The Empress of Tomorrow” connects with a code-breaker and then looks for the Asuka lock, but the two roll around and “The Queen” avoids it. Now they hit pin attempts and counters / reversals until they finally get back up.

Charlotte heads to the top-rope, but the champ stops her and then hits her with a back-stabber. Michael Cole asks who is going to win the women’s championship as we see a close-up camera shot of Asuka sticking her tongue out.

On that note, we head to a mid-match commercial break as the action in this title tilt continues. When we return from the break, we see the action still in progress. Charlotte beats Asuka down on the floor at ringside.

Belair waives her ticket in the faces of the champion and challenger. Asuka gets too close for comfort, which leads to the longest running women’s champion of the modern WWE era reacting and fighting back.

The referee notices this and ends up calling a halt to the action, which gives the win to Asuka via disqualification. This leads to Charlotte Flair getting in Bianca Belair’s face. Belair ends up hitting Charlotte, before slamming Asuka on the commentary table.

She does the same to Charlotte afterwards. She stands on the announce table herself and defiantly dances to end the post-match scene. The crowd went nuts for this. After this, we head to another commercial break.

Winner via DQ and STILL WWE Women’s Champion: Asuka

Charlotte Flair vs. Lacey Evans

Now we see video highlights of Charlotte Flair’s reemergence on the scene on Friday Night SmackDown in recent weeks. “The Queen’s” theme hits and out comes the women’s wrestling legend for our next match.

As she settles in the ring, the commentators mention her title shot against Asuka next week. We then head to a pre-match commercial break. When we return we see Mrs. Sgt. Slaughter, I mean Lacey Evans’, ring entrance in progress.

The bell sounds and about two minutes later, the bell sounds again, as Charlotte Flair easily beats down Lacey and locks her in the Figure 8 for the submission victory. After the match, “The Queen” is attacked by the reigning champion and her opponent for next week, Asuka.

Winner: Charlotte Flair
