Yesterday, we looked at the friendship that formed between NXT Women’s Champion, Charlotte, and her opponent, Bayley as part of our rivalry perspective. Today, we look at how the budding besties broke up and a look into the true start of their rivalry.

Bayley’s newfound friendship with Charlotte lead to her being teased by the BFFs, Sasha Banks & Summer Rae. The First Lady of NXT & her Boss of a BFF were stunned that Bayley was able to find someone who liked her. Unimpressed with their attitude towards the friendly and huggable Diva of NXT, Charlotte was quick to defend her friend. This lead to Bayley suggesting that they should compete in tag team action the next week. It was then comfirmed later that night that the tag team match had been booked.

All seemed normal when Bayley & Charlotte came out to the ring to face Sasha and Summer. Charlotte began the match and Bayley got the tag in. The BFFs got the best of her, and just as Bayley was able to gain enough momentum to reach her partner, Charlotte refused to tag in and proceeded to beat her “friend”! The Nature Girl showed her allegiance to Summer & Sasha and left as the newest member of the BFFs, leaving Bayley in the ring heartbroken and confused as to what had just occurred.

The next week, Bayley was on a mission to get answers as to why Charlotte betrayed her. However, she refused to speak to Bayley and she was left to listen to the teasing of Summer and Sasha. Charlotte then took a break from NXT to live the Flair lifestyle (she was also injured at this point), and accompanied her BFFs ringside to their matches, laughing at Bayley’s misfortunes along the way. However, when Paige was forced to vacate the NXT Women’s Championship, the perspective of the Divas would change very quickly now that gold was on the line…
